I am back or so I hope at least for a while. My life as a want to be Princess hasn't changed much; I still want to be one.
Anyway..............I am on vacation this week, Hubby is too. It has been to hot to really do anything but sit in a melted pile on the couch (which I think makes it worse). I said yesterday to my hubby, we should go swimming. You see one of my all times dreams are to have a swimming pool in my backyard. I don't see this as ever happening, so I suggested the local lake. When I was met with an "it will be too crowded and hot in the sun". Well duh!!! It’s about a million degrees and super humid, everyone will be there, but we could have squeezed in the huge lake somewhere, so when this did not work, I suggested the local public swimming pool. That was met with "it will be too crowded too!" Gees Louise, Of course it will be, but I am sure that will be room for us. Needless to say, we did not go anywhere near water. We did however take a ride in the air conditioned car to pick up something for a job he was doing for someone. We went about 40 minutes away and than he decided to take me to what he thought would be fun, a 2nd hand store full of let me say CRAP!!! You see my idea of Antiquing is so so different than his. First of all it was filthy crap that smelled and it was HOT in that store so everything was even grosser. I will say that they did have a booth of 1950's cookware that was the best things in there but you would have to have a million dollar bank account to afford them. We left quickly after I started to complain what a dump this place was. On our way home we had to stop to get a receipt for something he purchase and he suggested we stop at a discount food store, we always look for bargains on this front. I asked him if he had ever been in this store and he said no, so we went in. Well gross and double gross!!!! The cans were all dented and I don't mean dented a little these were just about squeezed in half!! The produce was rotting right before out eyes. I saw bunches of what I think were chives but they were brown and dried out. The eggplant had big brown rotten spots all of them, I was so gross out that I said I am getting out of here. We turned and left thinking how can anyone shop there, the funny thing was people were! I just hope they have good heath insurance!!
